Nous ne vous avons pas vue lors de notre départ de chez vous. Nous comptions vous téléphoner et puis... le temps a pris le dessus.
Nous voudrions juste vous dire que nous avons eu un merveilleux séjour chez vous cet été.
La région est magnifique, la propriété très agréable, l'accueil charmant, les légumes succulents, le vin bienfaisant......... Nous avons été comblés grâce à vous!!!
Continuez comme ça car c'est si important pour passer de bonnes vacances!
Nous espérons vous revoir bientôt. En tout cas, nous vous enverrons amis et famille!

Fiorbellina,
to say "thank you", Tate and I bought you this journal. You should leave it here in Nido and your guests can write in if they like. I wrote about our time here to start.
Thank you again for the wine and for making us feel at home. Thank you also for showing us your family's house! What a beautiful estate full of fantastic treasures.
We felt very lucky to have you be so generous with your time and private home. It was a highlight of our trip.
Thank you for having a hairdryer too! I wasn't sure what I would do before we came! And it had a diffuser for curly hair....just what I needed and have at home!
We liked that there was no tecnology here, it really helped us relax! We might suggest a clock though. We had to use an old trick to wake up early some days - drink a lot of water before going to sleep to wake up early! Other than that, don't change a think!
Thank you again. We will be in touch later about coming back, maybe with family!

Email arrived on 9th October 2005 from our clients of GARISENDA (Bologna)
Dear Fiorbellina and Isabella,
Craig and I arrived home last night after our stay in Bologna at Garisenda. We just wanted both of you to know how much we loved Bologna, especially staying in the apartment at Casa Lupari. The location was perfect, the apartment was lovely and well-equipped, and we enjoyed every moment, even in the rain! We hope to return some time, as there is so much to see in Bologna and the surrounding area. Of course, if we do, we hope to stay at Garisenda again.
We also wanted to tell you how kind the young couple Paola and Bart were to us during our stay, especially when my purse disappeared (during a trip to Mantova) with all my credit cards inside. Paola and Bart let us use their telephone to call the credit card companies to report the loss and were helpful in many other ways as well.
When we arrived home last night, we discovered that the police in Mantova found the purse and we hope to have some of the contents returned before too long!
Many thanks for providing us with a memorable week in Bologna. Craig joins me in thanking all of you. Alla prossima!

Still always my husband and I think of our holidays in your lovely house in Torgiano.You made it so comfortable for us: The seats and curtains near the swimming-pool, the vegetables from jour garden , the " sight-seeing”in the museum/house of jour parents and specially your help with our car. Tank you for all of it!
About the damage of our car: It is just repaired for € 515. all inclusive. Fortunately the assurance payed it for us. So your friend made a good estimation of the price! (In French the estimation for repair should be € 550. ) I was surprised to hear from my sister Martineke that she and her husband have visit you on their trip in Italy. She speaks Italian very well, isn’t it? They liked your wine as much as we did. In a letter I send you a photo for dear Mario.
I am sure it was not the last time we rent a house from you. Once , we hope to see you again.Greetings to your parents.

Dear Fiorbellina, thank you so much for all your hospitality when we stayed in your apartment, and all the good wine, egs, salad and other delightfull vegetables. When we left saturday morning at 6.30 I must admit, that we took the good weather with us. We had a beautiful trip crossing Italy to Pisa/Livorno, and since we arrived here two weeks ago, we have had Indian summer with sun and up till 24 degrees. And you have had a lot of rain. Enclosed (will be sent by post) you will find the two pictures I made of you and my wife Alvhild.
On your homepage with your apatment in Rome I think it is your daughter, we have seen on one picture, a nice little girl. Maybe we will meet again, in Torgiano or Rome, until then we are sending you all our best greetings. Also to your father with whom we talked too little. Dear Fiorbellina, Looking back at our holiday trips this year to Umbria, Toscane and the Turkish Rivièra my wife Charlotte and I would like to let you know that we have very pleasant memories of our stay at your Brufa appartment last May. Your suggestions for restaurants and wines were of great help to us.
The appartment was very well equiped and perfect for a stay to explore beautiful Umbria with Perugia very nearby.
We still enjoy your Sangiovese ! A pity we can’t buy your wine in Holland.
We sure come back one of the coming years !

PS: Why is the Bologna daily newspaper called ‘il Resto di Carlino’? I asked at quite a few newspaper-stands, but no one could give an answer. They shrugged shoulders and said, the name of the paper was ancient.
